Discover the basic techniques of Kourellou weaving in our 2hr workshop, set in the tranquil village of Pedoulas. This sustainable weaving technique, favoured by our ancestors, offers a practical means of repurposing old garments into functional textiles. Participants have the option to either bring their own textiles or utilize scrap fabrics from Folkmona's clothing collections. Please note that the workshop exclusively employs weaving frames rather than looms, providing a hands-on experience for all skill levels. In addition to mastering the weaving process, attendees will have the opportunity to savour authentic Cypriot snacks and coffee while enjoying the scenic view from our balcony overlooking the mountains. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home your beautiful creations.
